Following the Derby managers behaviour during his side’s 2-2 draw with Birmingham on Friday, the FA has charged Lampard with improper conduct.

Lampard approached referee Simon Hooper after the full-time whistle at St Andrew’s having watched his side drop points in their pursuit of a Championship play-off place.

In his post-match press conference, the manager revealed he felt that Hooper had denied Derby a clear penalty in the last part of the match.

«It is alleged Lampard’s language and/or behaviour on the field of play after the conclusion of the fixture amounts to improper conduct,» said an FA statement released on Wednesday.

MANAGER: Derby-manager Frank Lampard.
